Having a plan and practicing pre­cautionary measures is step one to COVID-19 management.

Symptoms of COVID-19

Fever, cough, myalgia (muscle aches), fatigue, vertigo, shortness of breath, sore throat. headache, nasal congestion. sputum production (can be bloody), diarrhea. nausea. or respiratory distress symptoms as in pneumonia. It takes 2-14 days (give or take 5 days) once the virus gets into the body for the infected person to feel ill. but they are contagious from the start.

Practice Prevention and Use Precaution

  • Wash your hands and wrists and face frequently with soap and water. Wash for 20 seconds under hot water and get a good lather going. Rinse from top to bottom. back to front.
  • Cover your cough/sneeze into sleeve.
  • Don’t touch your face. Resist the temptation. Your WET tissue is the most vulnerable to an invading organism.
  • Eat clean. Functional.
  • Stay hydrated.
  • Moderate stress.
  • Exercise (outdoors at home).
  • Get fresh air.
  • Sleep 8 hrs each night.
  • Consider immune supportive nu­trients/foods.
  • Exposure occurs within 6 ft. of someone infected whether they are symptomatic or asymptom­atic. The longer you are around someone within that distance. the more likely contact exposure will occur (i.e. an airplane seat). Consider your risk when attending group events.
  • Have at least a two week supply of your basic needs in your house. Food/toilet paper /bleach/ castor oil/mustard plaster supplies.
  • Remember that the virus can spread from a surface to a person. Resist the urge to touch your face!
